Everyone’s usually wondering what they should serve at big parties and get togethers. The Super Bowl is definitely one of those occasions. Here’s a collection of my recipes that you’ll be able to serve as keto snacks and appetizers that will allow you to stay keto while pleasing all of your carb-loving guests.
Most of these recipes are super simple and quick – they take little to no time, preparation, and ingredients. That gives you more time to spend with your friends and family as they huddle around the TV to watch the big game (or just the commercials).
So, who are you and your family rooting for this year – or are you rooting for the puppies at the puppy bowl instead?
1. Keto Breadsticks
Made using one of my favorite crust recipes, these breadsticks really go the extra mile. Bringing multiple flavor combinations you can use to really stand up to everyone’s tastes and needs.
2. Low Carb Chia Seed Crackers
Bringing crunch and flavor to your Super Bowl, these little guys aren’t something you want to bat an eyelash at. They’re great for dipping, dunking, or just eating on their own. They’ll also go great with just about any dip you can throw at them.
3. Bacon and Roasted Garlic Spinach Dip
A rich and hearty dip that nobody would guess is keto. Packed full of bacon and garlic goodness, this will definitely be a crown pleaser. This would also go great with the Chia Seed Crackers mentioned above.
4. Personal Pan Pizza Dip
These are perfectly paired with the breadsticks mentioned above. Almost exactly like a personal pizza right at the disposal of your fingertips. Grab a breadstick, dip it in, and enjoy! No more double-dippers at your party, and a delicious snack to serve up for everyone at once.
5. Keto Corndog Muffins
Bring the county fair to your house this season with these mini corndog muffins. Don’t bother wasting your time frying things up! Set and forget in the oven, as you know a delicious appetizer is going to be served up within minutes.
6. BBQ Bacon Wrapped Lit’l Smokies
Simple, delicious, and a staple at any of my parties. The umami flavors really come out of these cocktail sausages and pair great with the slightly tangy and sweet BBQ sauce that’s rubbed on top. Oh, and did I mention that they’re wrapped in bacon?
7. Keto Cheeseburger Muffins
The perfect bite for anyone that loves a cheeseburger. With bread-like muffins encasing ground beef, the flavor of these replicate the real thing really well. Put the works on top, and you’ll have yourself some comfortable and full fans in your house.
8. Keto Pigs in a Blanket
These delicious snacks will accompany any great Super Bowl party! If you’re not a fan of just meat wrapped on meat, have a go at these. A delicious and unique take on the crust make them great for the game, and even better for finger food.
9. Spicy Jalapeno Poppers
Jalapeno poppers are a fantastic finger food that can get passed around and easily eaten on-the-fly. Bringing classic game flavors into the living room and around the TV, your fans will be begging you to make more!
10. Perfectly Crisp Baked Chicken Wings
Chicken wings are a staple at any game, Super Bowl or not. You can grab wings from your local grocer and oven “fry” them at 400F for 45-50 minutes on a wire rack. Serve with some awesome Buffalo Sauce from this recipe. Get the recipe for the wings here.
11. Pork Loin Ribs with Keto BBQ Sauce
This pork loin rib recipe comes with a keto friendly BBQ sauce that is perfect for cooking up and sharing with friends. The BBQ sauce tastes like a sauce you’d get at a restaurant, maybe just not as sweet (which is the way I like it). It’s smokey, with hints of sweet and tangy.
12. Bacon and Roasted Garlic Guacamole
Set a bowl of this bacon and roasted garlic guacamole out with some pork rinds. When making for your game day party you can easily double or triple the batch! I’m sure you can come up with some other awesome ways to eat this stuff, because it goes down easy.
13. Jalapeno Popper Fat Bombs
The flavor of these are exactly what you’d expect – a bit spicy (add jalapeno seeds inside if you want more spiciness), very creamy and rich, and packed full of bacon flavor. You can easily make them ahead. This recipe makes 3 jalapeno popper fat bombs. You can bring them along with you to a party if you’re not sure that there will be a lot of food there for you.
14. Superbowl Sunday Buffalo Strips
What party is complete without some buffalo strips? This recipe will show you how to prepare them with an almond flour crust. Then you can top them with some blue cheese and Frank’s!
15. Spiced Bacon Deviled Eggs
The moment you put them in your mouth, the rosemary hits you – filling your mouth with an herbaceous aroma and taste. As you chew, the dijon and bacon comes through, refreshing your entire palette. The egg whites start to overpower it all, bringing a nice cooling feeling, and it finishes off with a heat from the cayenne. They’re delicious one-biters and will please almost anyone you give them to.
16. Apple and Ham Flatbread
This flatbread recipe brings traditional pizza up a notch. The combination of ham and cheese is just as classic as the combination ham and apples. Put them all together, throw in some red onions, a sprinkle of thyme, and we have a flatbread that you will want to make again and again.
17. Cheesy Bacon Bombs
These little morsels are just divine. It’s like biting into bacon wrapped cheesy bread that’s soft and gooey in the middle and nice and crunchy on the outside. I literally ate 17 of these in the same day because they were just that good – I couldn’t stop with just 1. I highly recommend these for special occasions – where you might be serving appetizers or need snacks available to people.
18. Low Carb Macadamia Nut Brownies
These brownies turn out a little fudge-like, just like I want them. They’re a bit light in consistency, but melt in your mouth and become rich and almost dense. These would make a great treat plate at your party.
19. Twice Baked Potato Style Zucchini
Zucchini makes the perfect low-carb vessel for this heavenly filling. There’s sour cream, butter, bacon bits, and cheese in your mouth in every single bite. These twice baked potato style zucchini are a healthy stand in for potato skins at your party.
20. Guilt Free Portobello Bun Burgers
When you grill up some burgers on Sunday, use the perfect low carb hamburger bun – a portobello mushroom! Now you can enjoy that burger bun 100% carb free. Wrap that sweet burger between your two mushroom buns, and lay on the fixin’s. Sugar free ketchup, onion, arugula, tomato – whatever you like!
21. Low Carb Mock Snickers Bar
Chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel. This recipe makes 16 squares of low carb mock Snickers bars. I think these little angels might just be the best thing I’ve managed to put together in my kitchen for my keto diet.
22. Buffalo Coleslaw
This coleslaw packs a punch! It’s a spicy, tangy, and creamy but also very simple to make side dish. Buffalo Coleslaw is not for the faint of heart, it takes traditional coleslaw and kicks it up a few notches. This side dish is perfect for summer BBQ’s and the big game!
23. Savory Pizza Fat Bombs
These savory fat bombs are super rich, decadent, and velvety in the mouth. They’re extremely easy to eat and they’re just plain delicious. Plus, they make for really cute appetizers if you’re serving them to multiple people. Stick a slice of pepperoni underneath, top with a leaf of basil, stick a tooth pick through, and throw a slice of olive on top.
24. Slow-Cooker Mocha Pudding Cake
Tones of coffee flavor enhance the deep chocolate notes and give this dessert a delicious mocha finish. Even though this dessert is made from scratch, it’s quick to get in the slow-cooker. If you’re making a ton of food for your game day party then don’t worry about making a sweet treat! This can bake away while you get everything else together.
25. Blackberry Chipotle Chicken Wings
A sweet, smokey, crunchy, and absolutely delicious wing that you will want to make again and again. These chicken wings really bring together some fantastic flavors and will definitely be a hit with anyone who has them. Even the non-keto folks will be asking for more, as the sweetness and slight smokiness from the Blackberry Chipotle Jam really comes through.
