Hotdogs are a little plain for me. Being on this diet, I have to add touches to main dishes to make them more flavorful otherwise I feel like I’ll get bored quick!
So here it is, not-so-plain hotdog, stuffed with cheesy jalapenos wrapped in bacon!
Yields 2 servings of Keto Jalapeno Popper Hotdog
The Preparation
Hotdogs:
- 4 whole beef hot dogs
- 1 ounce cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 medium jalapeno pepper
- 4 slice bacon
Side Salad:
- 4 ounce spring mix
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
The Execution
1. Measure out and prepare all the ingredients. Dice the jalapeno peppers. Preheat the oven to 400F.
2. Make a slit in the hotdogs lengthwise, but don’t cut them all the way through. Stuff the hotdogs with the diced jalapenos and shredded cheese.
3. Wrap the hotdogs in the bacon slices.
4. Bake in the oven until the bacon is crispy, about 20-25 minutes.
5. Serve with a side salad and sugar-free ketchup. Enjoy!
