In a pot, boil water and cook broccoli for 3 minutes.
Drain and transfer the broccoli to a bowl with ice in it. This stops the cooking of the broccoli. Drain this and set aside for later.
In a skillet over medium high heat, add water and the Italian sausages to the pan. Cook this with a lid on for about 10 minutes, turning every so often. When the water is evaporated, remove the lid and add half of the butter and half of the minced garlic. Cook for a couple minutes longer. Then, set aside.
With the same skillet, add the rest of the butter and lower the heat. Add the broccoli along with the other half of the garlic. Let this cook for about 5 minutes stirring constantly.
Add the lemon juice, vegetable broth, and hot sauce to the pan. Let this cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the Italian sausages back to the skillet to warm them up again. Stir this together well to let the sauce get soaked up by the sausages.
Slice a lemon to serve this sausage garlic buttered broccoli with. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
